Zois awards 2023
Exceptional recognition of scientific work in mathematics, physics and astronomy in Slovenia
Dr. Joso Vukman, professor emeritus of mathematiucs at the University of Maribor, and Dr. Danilo Zavrtanik, professor of physics at the University of Nova Gorica received this year's Zois Lifetime Achievement Awards, and Dr. Maruša Bradač, professor of astrophysics at the University of Ljubljana received the Ambassador of Science of the Republic of Slovenia Award.
Zois Prizes for Outstanding Achievements were awarded among others to prof. dr. Aleksej Kostenko from the University of Ljubljana for his work in mathematical analysis and to prof. dr. Uroš Cvelbar from the "Jožef Štefan” Institute.
Zois awards are the highest national awards for outstanding scientific achievements in Slovenia, awarded yearly since 1998.
